These spectacular plants love semi-shade and do especially well in the Bloemfontein garden when protected from harsh afternoon sun and frost.

When they flower, they are absolutely out of this world! 😍🌺 Their stunning clusters of white and deep red flowers create a truly eye-catching display.

PLANTS TO PLANT IN AUGUST 🌿

Spring is around the corner in SA and August is the BEST time to get these in the ground:

Flowers: Lavender, Calendula, Primulas, Snapdragons, Salvias
Herbs: Rosemary, Parsley, Thyme

Why plant now? The soil is warming up but it’s still cool enough for strong root growth. You’ll get more flowers, better harvests, and less stress in spring.

Lavender + Rosemary = drought tolerant. Calendula + Primulas = instant color. Herbs = fresh cooking all year.
