Meet Maisie... 🦉 🌸

She found herself a little haven among the branches, blossoms and new leaves - a quiet place to simply be.

"Maisie's Little Haven" is an original A1 acrylic painting on Canvas, created in my own soft, painterly style.

I wanted her to feel curious, gentle and just a little bit mysterious, like what is she looking at with those big eyes watching the world around her.

The intertwining branches almost create a little sheltered world just for Maisie. 🌿

This morning was fun-filled and relaxed, a truly chilled Saturday creative experience!

It was so incredibly satisfying to watch everyone let go, lean into their own creative freedom, and make something uniquely theirs.

We are already looking forward to many more mornings just like this.

This one is still going to take up a lot of time, detailing each branch and all the little twigs, to finish the shadowing and highlighting of it before adding the blossoms and leaves to finally be able to tackle the owl.

I have to be patient and take breaks 😊 not so easy though, once I start I want to keep going 🫪

Decided on a peachy background for this project (no name yet), mixed burnt orange with white in different shades and just went loose and wild.

Added subtle shadows to bring out the branches. Can maybe go more bold with the shadows, but will I be brave enough? 🫣

Will start filling the tree and it's branches first and see how that turns out. Not wanting to show too much yet, therefore the video just to keep you curious 🧐 😂
