Vintage Mid Century Armchair | Beautiful Sculptural Wood Arms | Restored | Cape Town.

This beautiful mid-century armchair has such lovely shape and form – but it's the long, beautifully curved wooden arms that caught my attention.

She belonged to someone's granny and came to me with a sweet little Queen Anne piano stool (stay tuned on that one). The wood was too lovely to leave as it was, so I completely sanded her down and brought her back to life with Danish oil. The result is gorgeous – warm, smooth and lovely to touch.

She's also been reupholstered in a wonderfully soft, textured off-white fabric, with fresh foam to finish her off.

A proper comfortable chair with beautiful lines and a little bit of a story, now looking for her new forever home.

Pair of beautifully restored armchairs with low-slung hips - perfectly imperfect MCM style.

These mid-century armchairs cleaned up beautifully! One dark and one light...
They have the typical low seats, curved backs and comfort to be expected from these chairs.. we love them! Their wood is solid, pale/dark and beautiful. They've been reupholstered in a fabulous new fabric.. the pics don't do them justice! Fluffy!
