THE POWER OF A SINGLE FIELD OF COLOUR

There is something magical about a single, uninterrupted field of colour in a rug.

For our recent evening with OKHA hosted by Adam Court and Liz Morris, Herringbone’s new Velvet Collection became the canvas for a beautifully layered mix of contemporary design, vintage furniture, collected objets and extraordinary art.

Annette de Jager of 360 Design brought her distinctive eye to the space, mixing OKHA’s contemporary pieces with vintage finds and unexpected objects, while Reservoir Gallery added glorious works that brought another layer entirely.

Different eras. Different disciplines. Different stories.

Yet grounded by one rich field of colour, everything suddenly belonged together.

The result was more than the sum of its parts - a beautiful symphony of furniture, art, objects and texture, and a reminder that sometimes the simplest element in a room is the one that holds everything together.

Introducing VELVET + CONTOUR — two collections inspired by a design movement we’ve been watching unfold across the world.

Vintage beside contemporary.
