Did you know that you get different kinds of variegated monsteras? Ours are called Monstera Deliciosa Albo Variegata. Wow 😮 that’s a mouthful 😅

What’s the difference? The Albos are the most sought after and rare because the variegated part of the plant is so strikingly white. Some other variants have more of a yellow look to the variegation.

Some other variegated monsteras that are more readily available are Thai constellations, Aurea, Sport and mint.

This week we propagated new baby plants. Wow 🤩 look at this beauty.

What’s next? Now it goes into water to shoot roots, we watch it daily to make sure it has all the nutrients, light and water it needs to shoot strong roots. 🌱

Once it’s ready, we will either pot it or sell it as a stem. 🪴

Did you know: there is no need to panic. Monsteras are living, breathing plants, and like humans get bruises from time to time - your monstera leaves might turn a little brown.

BUT… it’s important to understand why the leaves are turning brown 🧐🌱

Too much direct sunlight can cause brown spots. Similar to sunburn on our skin. Over watering can also also cause leaves to yellow and eventually turn brown.

Variegated Delicious Monsters look like they’ve had paint splattered on their leaves. This is from a rare mutation in the plant’s chlorophyll, giving the leaves the green and white marbled appearance.
