What a day to be a Daisy on Bree Street! The Daisy Effect was in full effect as , the , and all the local business owners put on a spectacular Bree Street Sundays event so that Capetonians could enjoy a glorious Winter's Sunday in our beautiful city.

was there to screenprint the Daisy onto Tshirts, while put finishing touches on the concrete planters that have brought shade and softness to this section of Bree. The Green Squad was celebrated with a feast, while bubble machines, ping pong, a vintage market, food, live music and more played on. What a day!

Slower days, less task-and-crisis-management work, more time to explore and to complete things. This is what I have been longing for, and now the labour of ending leases and contracts and moving studios is almost over, it's the work I can do.

I'm making a start by finishing long-incomplete projects, like this one.

One of the things I am enjoying about having no shops and no employees is the lack of urgency. There are no fires to put out / balls to catch / hats to swap out. My phone pings and I don't fear it's an emergency I have to sort out, and I don't feel I must squeeze a million things into a day.

Now, the question is: can I squeeze a million patterns with a single motif into a day?
