Africa Ink CT

Africa Ink CT Bringing you retail seeds from Kenya. Coffee bar; clothing made in Cape Town & Kenya.

The Sankofa bird, a symbol used by the Akan people of Ghana, expresses the importance of looking to the lessons of the past to create a positive future. With its feet firmly planted forward, the bird twists its beak backwards to bring forth a precious seed from its back. The seed represents the next generation as well as the knowledge of history.

There’s always something happening in our little corner of Africa… 🌿

Always making something — be it friendships, coffee, clothing, or simply a little magic along the way.

It’s the people, the stories and the creativity that make our little space what it is. Grateful to have thai little place.❤️

Mar — Spanish for sea 🌊 — and her family, visiting from Valencia, Spain, popped in to shop and for an iced matcha.

It’s not often we meet Spanish visitors at our little shop, so when someone named Mar finds us, it feels like more than just coincidence💙

Perhaps a bit of destiny✨Thank you for popping in✨

One of the things I love most about having a little space is the people unexpectedly pop back in to say hi. 💕

I first met Mikaylah and Josie in February this year, on their very first trip to Cape Town from Innsbruck. They fell in love with our beautiful city and returned again in August.

We shared a catch-up, a coffee, and of course, a little shopping. 🥰

Mikaylah chose our Lamu Ruffle Sarong with our light cotton unisex shirt, while Josie left with one of our purses and an amethyst bracelet.

People arrive as customers and sometimes return feeling like old friends. 💕🌍

Until next time, Mikaylah & Josie. xx.
