The Owners of Parow Centre realized that the Centre would have to evolve in its offering and service to retain the progress of the last ten years. We engaged the services of Stauch Vorster Architects to expand the Centre creating a high-density mixed-use Transit Orientated Development creating a new distinct identity for the Centre to reflect its diverse nature and expanded offering to the 47 year
old building. We have already enhanced our offering by adding Pick n Pay, new Food Court, Dis-Chem, prayer room and additional parking on the eastern side. Future plans include the addition of 50 000m² of office space, a sports park, play park, kids entertainment and 1 266 affordable apartments on an urban estate on a podium on top of the western and southern parking decks. The podium will act as an urban park, with tracks, paths, green zones and pause areas. Our newly designed Food Court is complete and has amazing eateries on offer which includes everyone’s classic favourites and brand new additions. Our entertainment Area is anchored by Ster-Kinekor Junction which offers the latest blockbuster movies.Parking is now a breeze with the completion of the east side parking which spans over three decks with a total of over 560 parking bays with parking still absolutely free. The centre also has easy access to Parow train station, the bus depot & the Main Road for commuters. Apart from upgrading various existing tenants, we have vastly extended our tenant mix with a total of over 150 stores. The centre is anchored by Checkers, Game , Foschini, Truworths, Mr.Price, Edgars and Woolworths and offers The Zone Fitness gym based on the 2nd Floor.
