Breastfeeding is about so much more than feeding a baby. Yet too many parents still face barriers to breastfeeding, with limited support, protection and access to reliable information.
This World Breastfeeding Week, we’re shining a light on the facts because no parent should have to navigate their feeding journey alone. Whether you’re breastfeeding, combination feeding or finding your own path, every family’s feeding journey is unique. With that in mind, we’d also like to shine a light on the life changing impact of breast milk donation.
For premature and critically ill babies, donor breast milk can be lifesaving, providing essential nutrients and immune support when they need it most.
We’re grateful for organisations like Milk Matters, a breast milk bank in Cape Town that provides screened, pasteurised donor milk to vulnerable babies, giving families hope during some of their most challenging moments.
If you’re able to donate, your milk could make a life-changing difference to a baby in need. Together, we can raise awareness, support one another and celebrate the power of breastfeeding in all its forms 💚
Here’s to supporting parents, one feeding journey at a time.
