We sell new horse-riding equipment with the coffee shop providing customers with freshly baked treats and Lavazza coffee. Stop by for breakfast, a light-lunch or tea-time treat and pony rides.

This September, swap the usual holiday routine for horses, fresh air, new friends and a whole lot of adventure at The Riding Centre.

Our holiday programmes are designed for children who love being outdoors — whether they’re experienced riders or discovering the joy of horses for the very first time.

What’s on this September holiday:

Little’s Riding Course | 29 & 30 September
For riders aged 4–8 years. A fun, gentle introduction to horses, with riding, pony care, games and activities designed to build confidence and independence.
09:00–11:30

Own Your Own Horse | 29 September–2 October
For more experienced young riders who are ready to take their horsemanship to the next level. Riders will enjoy riding, outrides, stable management and hands-on activities while developing greater independence and responsibility.

September Riding Course | 1 & 2 October
For riders aged 8+, from beginner to advanced. Each morning includes two rides, plus lessons, outrides, vaulting and gymkhana-style games.
08:30–12:00

Private & Semi-Private Riding Lessons | 29 & 30 September
For beginners through to advanced riders, with personalised coaching to help children build confidence and develop their riding skills. Lessons available between 08:15–10:30.

If your child loves horses, animals, adventure and spending time outdoors, this is a holiday experience they'll be talking about long after the holidays are over.

Whether your little one is taking their very first steps around a pony or you’re an experienced rider looking to improve your skills, The Riding Centre has lesson spaces available for riders of all ages and abilities.

From beginners finding their confidence to more experienced equestrians developing their riding technique, our lessons are designed to make learning to ride fun, safe and rewarding.

And for our littlest horse lovers, our Pony Play classes are the perfect introduction to the wonderful world of horses — combining ponies, play, learning and plenty of four-legged friendship!

It may only be August, but we’re already looking ahead to the September school holidays — and bookings are now open.

We’ve put together a line-up of riding programmes for different ages and experience levels, with plenty of time in the saddle, time with the horses and a few fun activities along the way.

PRIVATE & SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS

Beginners to advanced riders
30 or 45-minute lessons

LITTLIE’S RIDING COURSE
29 & 30 September
Ages 4–8
09:00 – 11:30
A fun introduction to riding, pony care, games and activities designed specifically for younger riders.

OWN YOUR OWN HORSE
29 September – 2 October
For experienced riders, or those who have completed our holiday courses and can tack up independently.
Four days of riding, horse care, outrides, stable management and learning more about horsemanship and responsibility.

SEPTEMBER RIDING COURSE
1 & 2 October
Ages 8+
08:30 – 12:00

This week we're celebrating someone who has been part of The Riding Centre family for many, many years – our wonderful Clara! 💙🐴

If you've ever visited us for pony rides, there's a very good chance Clara was there with a warm smile, a gentle hand, and endless patience. For so many children, their very first ride on a pony was led by Clara, creating memories that families treasure for years to come.

Her kindness, dedication, and love for both the horses and our riders make her an irreplaceable part of our team. Whether she's leading little ones on their first adventure, caring for the ponies, or lending a hand wherever it's needed, Clara does it all with heart.
From all of us at The Riding Centre, thank you for everything you do. We hope your birthday week is filled with as much joy as you bring to everyone around you.
