Meet Kissy Naude, a talented and versatile artist who effortlessly navigates between two captivating mediums - acrylic and oil without having any formal studies in art. Kissy was born in the Bokaap and area located a stones throw away from the city centre of Cape Town. When She was six years old her mother took her with to live in the township of Bonteheuwel on the Cape Flats where she spent most of her childhood years until High School.
With a passion for capturing the beauty of the world around her, Kissy’s artistic journey began at a very late age in her life and has evolved into a mesmerizing exploration of color, texture, and emotion.
In her acrylic paintings, Kissy’s vibrant brushstrokes dance across the canvas, creating bold and expressive compositions. Her ability to play with light and shadow brings her subjects to life, whether it be a serene landscape, a still life arrangement, or a portrait that captures the essence of a person's soul. With acrylics, Kissy enjoys the immediacy and versatility of the medium, allowing her to experiment freely and infuse her work with a sense of energy, peace and spontaneity.
On the other hand, Kissy’s oil paintings reveal a different side of her artistic prowess.
