One of the jewels in the crown of the Winelands, the spectacular Tokara.
Celebrate the arrival of 2021 with dinner at Tokara Restaurant on Thursday, 31 December.
Chef Carolize Coetzee has designed a menu fitting to see off the final hours of 2020 before the countdown to the new year starts.
In light of the current COVID19 curfew between 23:00 and 04:00, our New Year's Eve dinner will have an early start and follow the approximate timeline below:
Bubbly on arrival at 18:00
Oysters and braai snacks served 18:00 - 19:00
Langoustine tails brushed with fynbos & lemon butter or Vegan “scallops” with fynbos & lemon cacao butter
Miso marinated aubergine with sesame mayo
Beef fillet kababs with salsa verde
Braai broodjie - fig, camembert and caramelized onion or tomato, red onion and vegan cheese
First course served at 19:30
Garden tomatoes - semi dehydrated tomato tartare with fresh basil, assorted baby tomatoes and green tomato sorbet
Second course served at 20:15
Seared tuna with seaweed & mushroom dashi, spring onion, mustard leaf, avocado, radish & sesame
Main course served at 20:45
Red wine braised lamb shoulder with pommes anna, aubergine, kale, parsley & garlic buchu infused lamb jus
Coffee or tea served at 21:30
Countdown Goodie Box upon departure
Containing goodies to ease the countdown to the new year, including dessert: Dark chocolate cremeux layered with chocolate sponge, white chocolate mousse and cherry jelly served with a cherry compote.
Guests to depart by 22:00 latest to ensure that guests and staff comply with 23:00 curfew.
