WCBA hosted a workshop in West Lake this morning. Brendan, Aubrey and Piet shared information that will be so useful to experiment with this upcoming season. Winter is the time beeks repair equipment, brush up on our knowledge of bees etc and plan for the next year. We sharpen our tools, our minds, our resolve to feed the blessed bee 🐝

PART 1! We never got to finish this rescue because we need our favourite treefellers to tagteam this job. The oak must come down. Its hollow. The last storm did some damage and of course the ladies have to be rehomed.

Mavis and Clive needed their shed back! The ladies settled in. Clive saw them, ignored them. Weeks/months later: boom...a massive colony that needs to be rescued and rehomed. Thankfully he did the right smart thing and got in a professional. Bees secure our food! Without them we will starve and forced to eat lab grown artificial things. Grow flowers, feed the bee. They dont need saving...they need us to stop killing the trees and flowers.
