This page will be used exclusively as a platform for showing what I make and hopefully make a few sales from time to time. I will not be posting pictures of cute dogs and cats, or any other animals for that matter, unless they are made by me, recipes, holiday photos etc., nor will I be sharing video clips of dancing and singing orang-utans or sharing with everyone that I got to a new leve

l of Angry Birds. It will only be about Whimsical Woodworks, the products I make, their prices, availability and places and dates of markets I will be at or have been to. I make a range of small wooden products, using many different and exotic hardwoods, from pot plant holders, bird feeders, wooden candle sticks and tea candle holders, mobiles and wooden jigsaw puzzles. This is because much of what I make depends on the wood I have on hand and to some degree, my mood. Generally, the jigsaw puzzles are repeatable but not necessarily in the same wood, but in most cases items will never be repeated exactly the same. The weather this Winter has not been kind to outdoor markets and this Sunday is no different. Cold, windy and wet. Was really looking forward to being back at Under the Trees tomorrow but hopefully next Sunday will be better. It does, however , give me a bit more time to finish off some of my favourite puzzles. This one is ready. Cut from curly maple and the meerkats from European chestnut, lacewood, iroko, aromatic red cedar and spalted bubinga.
