Unboxing and Utmost Respect! The B17 has always been an excellent saddle so why tinker with a beloved formula when there isn’t anything wrong with it? With the Utmost Brooks wanted to see how far they could push excellence and to reach this point required persistence bordering on obstinacy. We have some new old stock Brooks professional saddles in stock in brown leather. The Professional is the classic Brooks racing saddle for road cycling, gravel riding and fast touring. They’re not available new at the moment and we’re not sure if and when Brooks will make them again, so if you’d like one we have a few available for R3000.

We have some Tanaka left and right side “eight moves” bottle cages in stock. These are great cages for if you have a frame bag or a small frame that restricting getting your bottle out easily. They can be moved up or down to suit your setup and come in some cool colours.

Brown and Mud green C17 carved saddles with matching rubber bar tape are now in stock. These colours are so difficult to photograph, they almost look dark grey or black in the shade and are very subtly brown and green in the sun. We love these subtle and sophisticated colours, just wish they were easier to show off in a picture.

We’re going on an S24o (Sub 24 hour overnight) this Saturday if anyone wants to join in. The rough plan is have two starting points, at Giovanni’s in Green Point and the other at The Spirit Cafe in the parking lot outside Constantia Village shopping centre. The two groups will then head to Hout Bay one along the coast and the other over the neck, aiming to meet up at Dario’s cafe at about 3ish. We can then all enjoy a coffee or a beer before we head over Chapmans peak drive to the campsite. The campsite is really close to the Noordhoek farm village. In the morning you can head off whenever suits you, but most of us will head back over Chappies and find somewhere to have breakfast together before going our separate ways. DM us if you’d like more details, and hope to see some of you there.

What’s not to like about an affordable sturdy rack that comes in cool colours? Tanaka Japan have really knocked it out of the park with their new range of racks, bottle cages and mounting systems. We’re looking forward to getting some of these in stock.
