Please note we have temporarily disabled Pudo and The Courier Guy as delivery options from our website.
We sent a package (containing a guitar pickguard) that was wrapped in cardboard box, bubble wrap and put in a courier guy flyer bag and sent via the Pudo locker service. The correct size locker was chosen, paid for a deposited in, but when the parcel got to the destination the driver for some reason deposited the parcel in a locker that was too small, smaller than the size paid for. The whole package was bent (a lot of force must have been used to bend a pickguard) and forced into an extra small locker. This completely damaged the pickguard.
When I brought this to the attention of The Courier Guy Cape Town and their Pudo team, I was merlely told that the parcel was damaged due to my insufficient packaging and that the damage was my fault and not theirs. They accept no responsibility for the damaging of the parcel.
We can not going forward, send pacels knowing that the drivers will be allowed to bend and force parcels into lockers smaller than ones booked and paid for. We were not asking them for refunds, we have already refunded the customer in full, but rather peace of mind going forward that this will not happen again but they unfortunately are not willing to take relevant actions to prevent this.
