A heads up!

With the winter cold, nothing is better than comforting soup and cozy knitting.

You are invited to our first ever "Soup and Knitting" event. We plan a lovely cozy evening here at The Yarn Room and invited to share her insights. She is a keen crocheter and an industrial sociologist, so I cannot wait to hear what she plans to share!

So diarize the evening of 7 July 2026 in the meantime. We will share more details soon.

Look how beautiful this yarn works! Adele from showed us earlier in the week how she weaves. Her colour combinations are always so pretty! Adele used the yarn she bought from us end of last year as one of our mystery boxes.

Jana is busy with a project in Cotton. It is a beach bag with drawstrings. She will see if she will line the bag. The whole idea is to make it as an example for a workshop. So keep your eyes glued to this page if you want to make your own. It will be beginner friendly!

What is your guilty yarn related pleasure?

I love the "not thinking too much" bit of working out these dish cloths from Tulip. It is part of the Sashiko World series. You get the cloth with a picture printed in a washable ink, the yarn, and a needle in the kit.

I worked the Anthurium (Hawaii), Farmer's Wife (America), Quetzal (Mexico), Little Birds of Assisi (Italy) - all shown here. I also worked 2 more and I am busy with another. I did say guilty pleasure 🥰
