Own a piece of South African history. For more than a century the whereabouts of the "Kruger Millions" has been a source of mystery and intrigue. During the final stages of the Second Anglo-Boer War, vast sums of gold mined in the Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek (Transvaal Republic) was secretly removed from the Republic as it became clear to President Kruger that the war was lost.

It turns out that at least some of the "Lost Hoard" made its way to Europe, where it was stored first in the Netherlands, then in Switzerland, where it was recently put up on auction. The historic find of Ponde and Half Ponde (pounds and half pounds) was purchased by the South African Mint and returned to South Africa and is now available to collectors for purchase.

These stunning sets contain an NGC-graded Halfpond or Pond, and a Lost Hoard mint marked proof 1/10th oz or 1/4oz Krugerrand.
