This week's cold caught a lot of us off guard. Frost on the lawns in Joburg is one thing but snow on the mountains , single-digit days across Gauteng, roads closed in the Eastern Cape... that's not the kind of cold most of the country is built for.
We're not writing this from somewhere far away. Our factory is in Daleside, Meyerton. Same cold mornings, same reluctant walk to the car, same "why didn't I bring a heavier jacket" regret as everyone else this week. When the weather does something South Africa isn't used to, we feel it too, just like you do.
To everyone who's had a harder week because of it, especially those without an easy way to warm up a home, we see you.
