So Santa gave Peak Experience a call recently 🎅 He said he's been so busy checking his list twice, and preparing for his big trip around the world...that he thought a little break in the mountains would be a good way to recharge before his big day.🎄 Notice he only rented a little one man tent...I think he also needed a little break from all of his little elves. 😉

Peak Experience would like to wish everyone an incredibly joyful and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year ✨🙌 May you and your families be blessed as we bring this year to an end, and welcome in the New Year. May we use this time to appreciate what we have, and spare MORE than just a thought for those who are less fortunate.

In typical fashion, we are off to the mountains for a camping trip to enjoy a well deserved break and to make the best of what the Drakensberg has to offer. ⛺️

With dimensions of 200x140x110 cm, this tent would serve either as the perfect fort for your kiddies' next campout or as a good one-man tent option for your next hike.

Once folded up and packed into its bag, this tent is compact and lightweight with a total mass of 2kg. This tent is also waterproof with a 2000mm water column rating and offers 50+ UV protection.

Our next few posts will form part of Peak Experience's short tent series. Throughout this period, all of our tents, available for hiring, will be showcased, accompanied by a description of important specs and features of each.

Here to kick off the series, we have our NATURAL INSTINCTS 4-PERSON DOME TENT, striking a pose in the late afternoon sun. Don't be misled by the number indicated in the title - while this tent certainly has the space to sleep 4 campers, it would be more spacious, comfortable and ideal for 2 or 3.

Last week was an exciting one for us at Peak Experience 🏕️💥 We had the privilege of kitting out a few families and their teens for their school's hiking excursion. We loved having a small role to play in their trip and we really hope to be able to assist more young learners in the future. If your child or someone else that you know is needing equipment for an upcoming school camp, send us a message or email and hopefully we'll be able to assist🙌

It's amazing to know that so many schools are providing their students with these incredible outdoor experiences where there is so much to be learnt and enjoyed. Thank you to those parents who supported us - we are very grateful🙏

Starting up a business can become a daunting experience for most...the planning, the large outlay of capital, the initial marketing and punting, the admin and the paperwork and of course many other factors that come into place!

It has been no different here at Peak Experience, but we strive to find joy in each milestone that we cross, the little steps forward that just scream progress and success! From the first Facebook post, to the first sale and invoice and now...

There are countless reasons why we love camping and hiking as much as we do but being able to connect with and become more in touch with nature is definitely one of the biggest ones for us🍂🍂

This is the ONLY time that we will recommend ditching the backpacks for a while and pulling out your bodyboards instead🏄

Although it doesn't seem likely from these photos, SNOW is in fact the forecast for this weekend❄️❄️

Only those hikers that have years of experience and know the Drakensberg mountains extremely well should be taking to the trails under these conditions. For everyone else, it's time to put the hiking boots away, dust off those boards and have some fun on the downhills🤙

If lockdown has created the opportunity for you to work from home, then why not book yourself a campsite for a few days and work to a view that's better than the one on your screensaver 🍂🌄

The refreshing change of scenery and rejuvenating country air will certainly cultivate an environment conducive to higher productivity levels (unless of course you hit some connection issues; then I suppose you have a good excuse to put the laptop away altogether😉).

So it's a WIN either way💥🤙
