They once called me ‘unteachable.’ But the truth is, they just didn’t know how to teach me. I am living proof that every learner has a language — and when you find it, the impossible becomes possible.

The Dikeledi-Thokozile Foundation is on a mission to help young women rebuild their lives, embrace self-confidence, and make empowered choices for their future. 💪🏽Right now, they’re asking for donations of high heels — because looking good and feeling good go hand in hand. 👠 Every pair gifted is more than just a shoe; it’s a symbol of strength, dignity, and a fresh start.
🌸 Join the movement.
🌸 Give a heel, give hope.

Action in Autism, thank you for honoring me and my mom with this beautiful letter. Your words remind us that every child’s voice matters, and every story deserves to be heard. I’m proud to celebrate literacy, possibility, and hope with you.

Sensory friendly careers in my opinion.

When I was struggling and didn't understand sensory overload, I often wondered: what job would I do, and would my boss or colleagues understand my situation? Crowded places overwhelm me. Sometimes people’s perfumes give me headaches. After church, I....

Maybe it’s you. Maybe it’s your child. Maybe it’s someone you love.

Autism. ADHD. Dyslexia. Dyscalculia. Dysgraphia. Dyspraxia. Tourette Syndrome. Tic disorders. Intellectual disability.

Behind every one of these words is a person.

A person who may have been laughed at, misunderstood, underestimated, stared at, excluded or told to just “try harder.”

A person who may have spent years wondering:

“Why am I different?”

I know what it feels like to be different.

And that is one of the reasons this Foundation exists.

We don’t need everyone to experience the world in the same way.

We need to make room for people who experience it differently.

Neurodivergence doesn’t have one look.

It looks like people we know. People we love. People we work with. People we raise. It may even look like us.
