Chindenguele Episode 5 - Croc World

Here is it — the final chapter of Chindenguele. 🐊🎣

For our last day on the water in Mozambique, the Coutas showed up — 20kg+ "crocs" smashing baits over and over. And just when we thought the trip couldn't get any wilder, we landed an absolute unit of a Wahoo — 28kg of pure speed and teeth.

This trip pushed the boat, the tackle, and every one of us to the limit. Huge thanks to Kyle, Cam, Josh, Connor, George and Kurt for the effort, the laughs, and the company that made this series what it was.

A massive thank you to Richard Jones and the whole team at TailsUp for making this trip happen, and to SMG Yamaha for the power that got us out there and home again, every single time.

Welcome to Part 4—and it's called FULLY LOADED for a reason. The Couta (King Mackerel) again went crazy on the Bucktails and the Tailsup Holographic Wings, smashing them on almost every drop.

Then Connor hooked into a stunning GT (Giant Trevally)on the kayak. And if that wasn't enough, the Tailsup Redeye Jiggs brought in some solid Bonnito to keep the action relentless and the fresh bait full up.

Thanks to the legends at SMG Yamaha and Richard Jones (Tails Up) for another epic day on the water!

In this episode, myself, Cam, Kyle, and Curt swapped the big rods for light tackle and headed to the shore. It was a different kind of grind, but just as crucial. We were looking for the small stuff, and we found exactly what we were looking for, loading up on Wolf Herring. Little did we know, these shiny little fish were going to be the absolute game-changers for the Chindenguele finale.

But the action wasn't just on the beach. While we were playing the bait game, the kayak crew finally got their shot on the boat with Richard Jones (Tails Up). And man, did they make it count! They put on a masterclass, absolutely smashing the fish using the TailsUp Bucktail Jigs. .

This episode is all about the "Circle of Life" the patience, the prep, and the payoff.

After 2 months of not fishing, work has been busy thank you Seeff Hillcrest & Kloof Imanaged to find a gap. and then this happens. If you thought I was bad on the gaff have a look at this 🤣

After the nightmare of Days 1 & 2, we finally got our reward—but it came with a twist. 🎣🔥

Part 2 picks up right where we left off, and the fishing gods finally decided to cut us a break. The lines went screaming, and the action was non-stop. We loaded the boat with Yellowfin Tuna, smashed the Couta (King Mackerel), and I even managed to land a beautiful Tilly Kingfish.

But the highlight? A massive Black Marlin came crashing the party. Unfortunately, it wasn't meant to be. The fish won this round, but the adrenaline rush was unforgettable.

This was the most insane, action-packed day of boat fishing I have ever had, excluding what was to come on day 5. A massive thank you to SMG Yamaha and Richard Jones (TailsUp) for letting me film this rollercoaster.
