It isn't always easy to find unpackaged food and if it isn't immediately obvious we're often too embarrassed to ask 😳. But you'd be surprised how many local shops are only too happy to accommodate! We now buy all our cheese from The Smoking Gourmet. Leave containers with them and they will happily fill them wth gorgeous artisanal cheese and yogurt without a bit of single use plastic in sight!

We're very excited that you can now get our reusable produce bags in Food Lovers Market in Ballito!

It's estimated that the average household uses 3 single use plastic produce bags a week - that's 8000 plastic bags a year in my road alone! When my sister and I started to look at reusable produce bags as an alternative to single use plastic produce bags, it was important to us that the bags were affordable, accessible and a necessity, not a luxury item. So often the cost of green products can be prohibitive for a lot of consumers. Reducing plastic pollution needs to be addressed by everyone - not only consumers who can afford to do so.
