A new year, some changes and some new followers so I decided it was a good time to do one of those "get to know me" posts, so here goes.
My name is Claire and Love From Abroad came into being in 2020 after realizing that packaging, beautifying and giving gifts to people was something that I could actually do as a career! I live in Durban which is where I grew up and I am fortunate enough to be able to do all my creating with a lovely sea view and gorgeous sunshine most days. I have two robust, busy boys under 9 years old and a husband that works away from home a lot so my work life during the quiet moments of the day is a welcome calm. I still love baking and luckily little boys who would never turn their noses up at being my tasting guinea pigs! I am still obsessed with party shops much to my hubby's dismay and am fortunate to have a Mum that doesn't mind tagging along 'just to see if they have anything new" 🙂 I have been experimenting a lot lately with felt, wool and fabrics so hope to incorporate more of this in my gift packaging this year. I am currently only delivering in Durban as I do them myself but hope to find the perfect people in the rest of SA who care just as much as I do about that personal touch.
