Wednesday 12 Aug: Good 3 - 4 ft waves around North Beach early this morning with a light Southerly wind.
The tide is heading out to low at 9.35 am and next high at 4pm.
The wind is mild Southerly to start the day keeping the waves clean but the wind shifts to SE and picks up to blow 15km/h from 9am which will put an onshore bump on the waves for the day.
The cold front is still hanging over Kzn with cold morning temp of 12 degrees and a high of 17 degrees later on with light rain on and off all day..

Tuesday 11 Aug: Its Puffer jackets on the Pier day.. A fresh morning with snow up on the Dakensberg mountains and the cold air flowing down to the Beach. Temp 11 degrees to start the day an a high of 16 degrees this afternoon.
It'll be a cloudy day again with intermittent rain on an off all day through to Wednesday ☔

Good waves in Town, the SE swell direction pushing 3ft waves into the piers, bigger swell towards Snake Park, and the 20 km SW offshore wind keeping wave conditions glassy through to midday 🏄🏽
The wind will shift to 20km Southerly after midday and we'll have waves all day between the piers.

The tide is heading to low at 9am and high at 3.15pm

Monday (Holiday) 10 Aug:
The hard core Dawn patrol squad hitting the waves in the dark before first light 🏄🏽 👍🏽
Small 1 ft longboard waves around town.

The cold front moved up the coast overnight bringing the cold weather and rain as forecast.
Temp was 11 degrees this morning heading up to high of 15 degrees this afternoon.
The tide is heading to low 8.15am and next high at 2.30pm

The wind will gust 30-40 km all day which will flatten out the waves to about 1 ft all day even though there is big swell running on the horizon, but with the SW swell angle + a strong SW wind the swell will push past Durban's piers today.

* on Tuesday the swell angle shifts to SE and the wind drops so we should get 2 - 3 ft waves for tomorrow

Sunday 9 Aug: Light SW 5 - 10km breeze and clean 2 ft waves around North Beach 🏄🏽
The tide was low at 7.15 and next high 1.35pm
The wind stays mild SW until to midday, then shifts to 15 - 20km Southerly picking up to blow 15 - 20 km h into afternoon.

**Heads up for a big weather change later tonight, a deep cold front is moving up from the South today and should reach Durban tonight, bringing a big drop In temperature, strong wind, bigger swell on the coasts and rain from tonight through to Wednesday ☔
