Magnesium Chloride vs Epsom Salt — which one should you use? ✨
They both contain magnesium, but they are not the same — and both deserve a place in your self-care cupboard.
MgCl₂ = Magnesium Chloride
Found in our Magnesium Flakes and Magnesium Oil Spray. Magnesium Chloride is loved for warm bath soaks, foot soaks, tired legs, post-workout routines and quick topical use with the spray.
MgSO₄ = Magnesium Sulphate
Better known as Epsom Salt. This is a classic bath soak favourite, perfect for home spa rituals, relaxing baths, foot soaks and DIY bath salt blends.
So, which one is best?
Choose Magnesium Chloride when you want a more mineral-rich recovery ritual, especially after running, gym, walking, hiking or a long day on your feet.
Choose Epsom Salt when you want a traditional, affordable and easy bath soak for relaxation, self-care and DIY bath recipes.
Or even better… use both.
They pair beautifully in a warm bath soak for tired bodies, busy feet and evening wind-down time.
Quick bath soak idea:
