🧶 Different yarn, different packaging! Here’s what each one means:
🧶 Ball – Yarn wound into a traditional ball, ready to use.
🍩 Donut Ball – A ball with an open centre.
🍰 Cake – Yarn wound into a flat-sided cylinder, often designed for easy centre-pull use.
🧵 Cone – Yarn wound onto a cone, commonly used for weaving, machine knitting or larger quantities.
🪢 Hank – A large loop of yarn that needs to be wound before use.
🎀 Folded Hank – A hank folded neatly for packaging and storage.
🌀 Twisted Hank – A hank that’s been twisted into the familiar shape often used for hand-dyed yarn.
📦 Skein – Yarn wound into an oblong shape, ready to use.
🧶 Pull Skein – A skein designed to be pulled from the centre.
