This book is comprised of hadiths and is divided in chapters extensively covering the personal character, features, habits, and etiquette of the Prophet Sallallahu alayhi wasallam. Imam Tirmidhi has devised many subject heading and brought the appropriate ahadith to substantiate it.

This is a collection of ahadith pertaining to the features and character, in other words the physical personality of the Prophet Sallallahu alayhi wasallam. It begins with the chapter on the noble features of Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu alayhi wasallam, followed by chapters on the hair, combing, white hair, kuhl, dressing, ring, sword, armor, turban, sitting, pillow, cup, fruits, laughing, joking, weeping, etc of the Prophet Sallallahu alayhi wasallam. Supplemented by a commentary by Shaykh Zakariyah Khandelwi.

This book is a translation of Shaykh Husain Ahmad Madani’s autobiography, highlighting the colonial practices that reduced Indians to economic poverty, erasing their culture and corrupting their faith. It shows the jihad of Shaykh Madani, free from the Eurocentric paradigm of vested interest and hierarchy. It explains why the British imprisoned him in Malta, for two years in Sabarmati prison with hard labour, and in Nene Jail, Allahabad.

The book also brings forward the role of prominent individuals and institutes in ending the British colonialism of India. It traces the resistance movement from the foundation of Darul-Uloom Deoband by Shaykh Qasim Nanotwi and Shaykh Rashid Aḥmad Gangohi after the 1857 British occupation of Delhi. It also includes the role of Shaykh Sayyid Aḥmad Shaheed and Shaykh al-Hind Mahmud Hasan.

This book is a small way of acknowledging his contribution and challenging nationalist and exclusivist historians who have written out the Muslims’ efforts in liberating India.

Man’s First Confrontation With Iblīs
Before Almighty Allāh began with the moulding of Nabī Ādam
, the world was inhabited by the Jinn. When their evil and
mischief on earth surpassed all limits, an ‘outwardly-pious’ jinni
(ʿAzāzīl) sought permission from Almighty Allāh to wage war
against them. Permission was granted and this jinni, together with
his force of soldiers, launched a lightning attack upon the jinn who
had polluted the earth with corruption and mischief. Majority of
the evil jinn were slaughtered, and the few that survived went into
hiding. The land was now free of its filth and ʿAzāzīl was its hero.1
ʿAzāzīl thereafter made great effort to prove himself being capable
for the role of being Almighty Allāh’s vicegerent on earth. He would
spend his days and night engrossed in worship. His unique devotion
in worship left the angels astounded, and soon he acquired for
himself a seat amongst the angels and became the centre of their
gatherings. Everything was going well for ʿAzāzīl, and in his
