The first signs of spring are here, and our nursery is starting to come alive again.

There are lovely new plants and seedlings to discover, fresh flower pots to browse, and our fruit trees are beginning to blossom beautifully too. 🌱🌸

If the warmer days have you thinking about getting back into the garden, now’s a lovely time to come and take a wander through the nursery.

🥧 Apparently, there’s a pie ranking system…

We had a rather unexpected Baddaford moment in Makhanda recently.

A chance conversation with someone turned to food, then pies and before we knew it, we discovered that he takes his pies very seriously.

So seriously, in fact, that he has his own pie ranking system. 😂

And according to him, Baddaford’s pies rank amongst some of the best he’s ever had.

Now, we don’t know the official criteria, how many pies have been tested, or just how competitive these rankings are… but we’ll happily take it. 🏆🥧

Our pies are made fresh right here at Baddaford, from the pastry to the fillings, and hearing things like this out in the wild really does make our day.

If you haven’t tried one yet, perhaps it’s time to see what all the fuss is about. 😉
