🕒 Employment Type: Full-time (Permanent)
🔩 Your Role
You'll be responsible for the mechanical maintenance and repair of:
Front End Loaders, Excavators, and other quarry yellow machinery.
Fixed plant equipment: Crushers, Screens, Sand sifs.
This includes fault-finding, breakdown repairs, routine inspections, and ensuring safe, efficient operation. You'll also develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime, manage service schedules, and proactively identify risks.
Administration involves ordering parts, maintaining records, and communicating with suppliers and management. You must adhere to safety protocols, maintain a clean workspace, and be available for overtime/weekend work and urgent breakdowns.
✅ Minimum Requirements
Qualified Diesel Mechanic with 3-5 years' experience on Front End Loaders, Excavators, Crushers, and screening plants.
Proficient in maintenance systems, diagnostics, and fault-finding.
Computer literate for emails, ordering, and record-keeping.
Experience with supplier communication.
Ability to work independently.
🧩 Personal Skills
Highly organised, self-disciplined, and a proactive problem-solver with excellent communication skills. Must be able to handle pressure, and be honest, reliable, and responsible.
⭐ Advantageous
Welding/fabrication skills, quarry/mining experience, valid driver’s licence, and workshop management experience.
