A huge congratulations to our Operations Manager, John-Marc, on taking 1st place in the Men's Category at the Garden Route Fire Fighter Challenge! 🚒💪

This challenge is a demanding test of strength, endurance and determination, with competitors tackling a series of physically demanding tasks that simulate the challenges firefighters face on duty. 

John-Marc's performance reflects the dedication, resilience and work ethic he brings to the Greenlink team every day. 

We couldn't be prouder to have him representing our company both in the workplace and in the community.

What an honour!!!

🔥Congratulations to our very first Fire Fighter Challenge Champions!🔥

A huge congratulations to John-Marc Olivier and Michaella Coomber for taking top honours in the inaugural Fire Fighter Challenge at themarketatgeorge at The Transport Museum🏆

This exciting event was created to bring our community together while showcasing the incredible courage, fitness and dedication of our firefighters. Visitors had the chance to meet the heroes who put their lives on the line to protect us every day—and many even stepped up to test themselves against them! 🚒💪

A special thank you to Fire Chief Deon stoffels , Emile Conrad (7-time South Africa’s Toughest Fire Fighter Champion), and every member of the Garden Route District Municipality Fire & Rescue Services for making this event such a memorable success.

The response was incredible, and we’re excited to announce that the challenge will return 11 December – 2 January, with an even bigger course and an all-new Kids Fire Fighter Challenge!🎉

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported the event. Through our partnership with SA for Hope ,every event helps make a positive difference in our communities.

This Market wasn't without its challenges. After the Transnet Transport Museum had been closed to the public for eight weeks, we knew we had obstacles to overcome. But together, we proved that teamwork, determination, and community can achieve incredible things.

A huge thank you to Tyron & Kelli from Romans Consulting for an outstanding marketing campaign that helped bring visitors through our gates. Every person who walked into The Market came to discover, support, and invest in your products.

With rising fuel prices, economic pressures, and reports of difficult trading at many other winter markets around the country, we have every reason to celebrate what we achieved together. Some of our vendors even exceeded their December sales by adapting their products to suit the winter season. What an amazing accomplishment!

To our incredible The Market Team—thank you for the months of planning, the long hours behind the scenes, and for being the friendly faces that welcomed every visitor. Your commitment and teamwork make this event possible. What an awesome team!
