Because it’s genuine leather rather than a synthetic lining, it’s naturally breathable too, helping create a more comfortable finish for quality footwear.

Meet Jerome Zondi, a valued part of the Prime team since 2018.

Jerome first became part of the Prime story through a friendship that began at church more than 15 years ago. Over the years, that friendship grew to include his wife and three daughters, making the connection with the Prime family a truly personal one.

He initially joined the business assisting with stock control, grading and deliveries, but his role has grown significantly over time. Today, Jerome plays an important part in quality control assessments, grading, sales, customer liaison, crisis management, client visits and business strategy.

His hands-on experience, knowledge of the product and understanding of Prime’s customers have made him an integral part of the team and its continued growth.

Founded in 2012, Savior Artisanat is a Durban-based leathercraft studio led by Max Pienaar. Each piece is sewn by hand by a single artisan from start to finish, with clients able to customise details including leather colours, linings, stitching, hand-painted edges and monograms.

Their craftsmanship goes beyond the finished product too, with Max hosting leathercraft classes from his Durban studio for both beginners and experienced makers.

We love seeing where great leather, patience and skilled hands can lead. 🤍
