SUMMER-READY FOOT CARE ESSENTIALS:
🦶 Have months of closed winter shoes left your feet needing some extra care? Closed shoes can trap heat and moisture, while friction and pressure may contribute to blisters, corns and uncomfortable feet. Athlete’s foot may cause itching, peeling, redness or cracked skin, particularly between the toes.
Help get your feet summer-ready:
🧼Wash your feet and dry carefully between the toes
🧴Moisturise dry feet and cracked heels, but avoid applying moisturiser between the toes
🧦Change damp socks and allow shoes to dry properly
👟Wear comfortable, well-fitting and breathable footwear
🩹Protect areas affected by rubbing or pressure
🚫Avoid sharing shoes, socks or towels
🦶Wear suitable footwear in communal showers and changing areas
People living with diabetes, poor circulation or reduced feeling in their feet should seek professional advice before treating blisters, corns, calluses, fungal infections or wounds themselves.
