Meet Latte, MeanKats Café's resident croissant thief!

This handsome ginger boy has two settings: sweet, cuddly sweetheart or absolute chaos. And if there's food around, you'd better keep an eye on your croissant!

Beneath all that ginger mischief is a boy who loves affection and has plenty of love to give.

Latte spent time surviving on the streets before a caring volunteer brought him to safety. Along the way, he found his special friend, Willow.

These two have a proper sibling bond. One minute they're wrestling and arguing; the next they're back together as if nothing happened. And they need to find a forever home together.

Have you ever heard that cats have nine lives?

It's one of those things we've heard so many times that we don't really stop to wonder where it came from.

The idea goes back hundreds of years. In different cultures, the number nine has been associated with luck, magic, and mystery. And cats have certainly earned a reputation for being mysterious little creatures.

Between their impressive ability to land on their feet and their uncanny knack for escaping situations that leave the rest of us wondering what on earth just happened, it's easy to see how the legend began.

Honestly, if any animal could convince us it had nine lives, it would be a cat.

But sadly, they only get one. And there are plenty of furry little faces out there still waiting for a safe place to call home, with a family to love them.

So, I've decided to put my paintbrush to good use!

Welcome to Myths, Mysteries & Little Paws, a little project bringing together curious animal myths, colourful portraits, and rescue cats and dogs looking for their forever homes.

I'm teaming up with MeanKats Café, Animal Anti-Cruelty League, 9 Lives Café and soft_side_creations to help these furry friends find their people.

Along the way, I'll be sharing their stories, their quirky personalities, and all the little things that might make someone fall in love with them.

Because somewhere out there, a family is waiting to meet their new best friend, even if they don't know it yet.

And when one of our featured furry friends finds their forever home, their new family will receive a digital copy of their portrait.

I can't give them nine lives, but maybe a little art can help them find the one thing every pet deserves: a home where they're safe, loved and part of the family.
