Our irises are blooming and looking so pretty. Lovely to see some colour in the garden. For those of you that love quirky - I have these celluloid Cracker Jack charms from the 1930's. Rare and highly collectable. Anyone for a game of Mahjong ?

Spring took a break the last few days...It's been rainy, misty, moody and chilly. Quite beautiful though. I'm my mother's child, and I make soup when it's cold, and Pete keeps the fire burning. Have a great weekend !

Even with the snow and biting cold plants are flowering. So amazing ! A very pretty Alfred Meakin teaset that slots right into the Karoo, a colourful assortment of Pyrex bowls and vintage bottles for sprigs.

Oom Willie said when Kleintjie shears his sheep it's going to get cold and it did, - 4 this morning ! A beautiful, large, finely carved cameo brooch/pendant framed in sterling silver with marcasite detail, pretty pearls and quirky costume jewels.
