Learn more about the illustrator of the CamleyFluffs, Holly Evers.

Her passions.

This question has always stumped me. I could never figure out how someone could work out what they were passionate about. That was until I finished illustrating the CamleyFluffs. I can’t describe the sense of passion and pride I had about what I had created with Leigh-Anne’s stories. Illustrating these books has inspired me and helped me take my art and talent further.

Her passions and hobbies,

My huge passion is for the bush. I absolutely love going to the Kruger or any bush for that matter with family or friends. Growing up, the bush was such a special place for me as it meant our whole family was together with no distractions. It is for this exact reason why I love the bush today and my husband and I have worked hard at passing down this passion to the boys. So far it’s going well because an 8 hour drive in Kruger is a thrill for them as well. I enjoy playing golf, walking and swimming, I tried cycling and I think my family are still giggling at my lack of biking skills. I also enjoy watching my boys play sport. I love listening to music, reading and LOVE spending time with friends. I was one of those people who battled in lockdown because while I was really nervous about COVID and so kept to myself, I missed socializing so much. I have the most special friends and family and I missed them so much during that time.

14 years ago my beautiful mom passed away. There is not one single day that goes by with out me thinking of her. My mom was and always will be a constant reminder of how someone can make you “ feel” loved. So often parents message me in a state asking if they doing everything “ right” and they feel they getting it all “ wrong”. I myself feel like this often when my son has left his shoes at school for the third time since January or when “please clear the plates from dinner “ is met with a pre teen eye roll, and then depending on my mood ,I myself become not so pleasant . The point is I’m sure my mom felt like she didn’t have it right all the time either but in my mind she was just the best mom who seemed to just know what to do and what to say in any situation. Not because she was perfect but because of how she made me feel, loved, special, and seen. To all the Camleyfluff parents doing the very best for your children they do feel your love and they will for many years to come. Happy Valentines Day!!!!!!
