It was initially conceived, with the idea-in-mind, of benefitting and promoting small online sellers. The primary goal was to reduce the costs related to sales and selling, especially and essentially in the digital online market place; And in so-doing increasing a seller’s bottom-line profitability. Initially it was conceptualised as beneficial, and almost necessary for all involved mainly in numismatics (where often the online platforms and their costs leave little to no profit). It then seemed a natural fit to extend this concept to other online sales categories, also comprised heavily of small online sellers; The broadening of this concept and the whole experience of its development, has humbly allowed me to believe that something new and dynamic can be offered, in a vibrant and alive way, that can grow organically day by day with the contribution of all the people who will eventually make up Fredes and Friends: Us (the Fredes team), who are building what could be our life’s work; the Sellers and the Buyers who join us, and come to trust, in a site where fine things trade, equitably and fairly. It is my greatest wish, and something that holds my passion – to materialise a Fredes and Friends, that can provide what Buyers and Sellers need and want; in a workable, sustainable and symbiotic way, that leads to real partnered growth and benefit for all in the eco-chain.
