Can we talk about something we don't always feel comfortable admitting?

Sometimes… you're disappointed with God.

Maybe the opportunity passed you by.

Maybe the healing didn't come when you expected it.

Maybe you're still waiting for the prayer you've carried for years.

You still believe in Him.

But somewhere inside you're asking:

“God… why did You let this happen?”

I've realised that disappointment doesn't always mean you've stopped believing.

Sometimes it means you cared deeply about what you were praying for.

And the Bible doesn't tell us to pretend otherwise.

Look at the Psalms.

David asked God, “How long?”

He brought his confusion, grief, frustration and questions into God's presence.

He didn't have to pretend.

And maybe we don't either.
