Price fixing alert
Please be alert there are serious price fixing especially in the major retail stores in the name of covid-19 and petrol hikes.

- While consumers feel the pressure of shutdown due to Covid-19. Apparently all major Retail stores in South Africa have increased their prices on essential products like toilet paper, eggs & milk with up to 49% markup.

- It's disgusting to see major retail companies who are supposed to support the community during this difficult time rather taking advantage of them.

If you are poor in SA you pay upto 45% more for bread than the rich

- We went to a couple of stores like Pick n Pay, Checkers, Spar & shoprite in the Eastrand & Johannesburg in Towns, suburbs & ghetto locations.

- We noticed that the is a big error or price fixing

- Brown & white bread on all major brand brands cost more were most poor people live in the ghetto locations in the very same brand stores.

- The question we asked ourselves is why do major retail stores and bakeries make the poor in SA pay more for their daily bread?

More retail Jobs woes expected in 2020

I-:(1) Stuttafords was liquidated and closed, (2) Edgars closed 151 shops including one of it's biggest stores in Gauteng at Rosebank Mall,(3) Standard Bank closed 263 branches, (4) Nedbank, ABSA & FNB are also identifying branches they will be closing,ABSA in particular just gave thousands of employees retrenchments notices, (5) Massmart which owns DionWired, Builders, Game, part of Edgars is closing majority of Dion Wired shops and is not planning to expand anymore, (6)The mining sector is planning to shed 25 000 jobs, (7) Business Day report show by Gugulethu Mfuphi on Khaya FM reports that over 151 companies apply for busines rescue, liquidation or are liquidated every three months(8)There is serious drought in the Northern Cape, Western Cape, Free State and scarcity of water across the country, (9) Banks are repossessing not less than 2000 vehicles per month.

- SAA, SABC & Eskom issues are also the biggest contributors to a poor economic growth in South Africa & the government will admit to this facts.

Mass mart is getting rid of more than 1400 employees like yesterday's expired milk.

- It has been reported in the News that Mass mart is in talks to retrench about 1440 employees mainly from Dion wired and Builders express stores.

- We had an interviewed with a couple of their employees & they said "Meetings were called yesterday Monday morning to address the staff that in a period of 60 days they will lose their jobs via retrenchment with 2 weeks pay & some might be placed in game stores if lucky".

- Today as we visited the stores the staff members told us they are simply using this day to look for jobs as they are in shock & in a panic mood.
They were never consulted by their unions as Mass mart claim to had talks with unions.

- This goes to show that most Americans companies only invest on SA for selfish reasons and not to build our communities in SA as American companies have a reputation of buying out SA companies & chew them like a sweet gum & spit them out after mismanaging those companies.

- This is the reason we would encourage SA shoppers to rather support SA brands & buy proudly South African.

Congratulations on your 2019 greatest achievement!

- Most people think they don't have reasons to celebrate ad this year was economically challenging or that they don't have nothing to show as an achievement

- We might not have won the lotto or bought new houses or cars
- Some might still be single and lonely or married but not happy
- Some working but broke & trapped in debt or retrenched
-Some have lost loved ones & friends
- Some don't feel like they don't want to live anymore

- Well we are here to remind you that the greatest achievement in life is to be alive
- You still have a chance to do what dead people cannot do or wish they would do different if given another chance to be alive

Retail dirty tricks

Please be alert and not to fall into this debt trap called; buy now, pay later.
This trick will insure that you start your new year with an overdue debt and interest of two month if not more in most cases.

So be a wise shopper, if you can't pay cash for it & it's over your credit limit then it means you can't afford it!

Rather use the a lay-bye payment option as is the best way to pay in cash and staying debt free.

doesn't end well for Kempton park residents as Shoprite liquor was robbed at gunpoint by 4x armed man around 18:10.

- At least one staff member was injured as he was hit on the head with a gun and was badly injured. A couple of gun shots were fired outside the store as they fled the scene of which left a lot of people terrified as they dug for their lives

-Police only arrived about 40 minutes later even though the police station is only 3 minutes away from the store

- Anyone with information please contact the police & help get rid of this dangerous hooligans
