Communication is the foundation for understanding and all good relationships. Many forms have been used to communicate ideas including the traditional African drums of the past, music and song, written works, TV and radio. The most common of all forms of course, is the voice.

Our Voice of Africa statue represents the key to bringing about true understanding and harmony in Africa - communication: https://www.thetastudios.co.za/voice-of-africa-statue.html

Lebo: (A name fairly common in the Pedi Tribe). This is a traditional version of a young African woman from the Pedi Tribe. Before a young girl is wed, it is traditional for them to not cover their breasts. This tradition is still in place today.

Our Lebo female sculpture depicts a beautiful and proud African woman: https://www.thetastudios.co.za/lebo-african-female-sculpture.html

The origins of gumboot dancing are unclear. Some say that mine workers were issued with gumboots because they had to work knee-deep in water. Forbidden to talk, the labourers soon discovered that their new footwear provided the perfect surface to tap out messages and this evolved into a dance form. Others contend that booted miners developed the dance as a form of entertainment on days off.

Our Gumboot Dancer sculpture depicts the high spirit of miners: https://www.thetastudios.co.za/gumboot-dancer-sculpture.html

The Marimba is one of many African names used for the xylophone. It is an instrument that unites, bringing people together to sing and dance. From traditional African township jazz to pop and classical music, the Marimba could be said to be an instrument for building bridges.

Our African Marimba sculpture depicts harmony; with individuals, groups, and cultures, working together as a team to produce something worthwhile: https://www.thetastudios.co.za/african-marimba-statue-shadow-box.html

The bull and bear traditionally represents the movement of the financial stock markets. A bull market indicates a strong financial economy, while a bear market indicates one that is weak.

Our bull and bear sculpture depicts the continuing fight between both markets and by showing the bull on top, an optimistic outcome: https://www.thetastudios.co.za/bull-and-bear-sculpture.html
