THE BANGUNI-BAKONE-BANGOṊA AND SAN AS THE AUTOCHTHONES OF SOUTH(ERN) AFRICA:
INTRODUCTION:
This booklet is a synopsis about the nation often ridiculed and looked down upon by those who lack ample information about them. They have been observed as different people because the missionaries created three different people from one nation by applying English, Swiss and German orthographies when they reduced the spoken language into a written form using their own national spelling as the Banguni, Bakone and Vhangoṋa. It is hoped that credible evidence succinctly outlined hereunder concerning the Land Question will serve as the incense required to prove them as the authentic and rightful heirs of the land to whom the entire country and its Oceans belonged and still belong to by Right since Creation.
Briefly stated, this mistake was exacerbated by Schwellnus who used German orthography in shaping Tshingoṋa into Luvenḓa, while Doke reduced Isi-Nguni into Xhosa and Zulu while Creux and others reduced Sekone into Sesotho as Southern Sotho, Sepedi and Tsonga as Moffat in Cole (1979) came up with Setswana derived from Lefelo le li swanago hence he says: ….we must read Botswana for Bechuanaland Protectorate, Lesotho for Basutoland, Zambia for Northern Rhodesia, Rhodesia for Southern Rhodesia and Union of South Africa for the Republic of South Africa as confirmation that originally the entire area, belonged to one nation but had to change because of the new political order decided upon in 1885 as a resolve of the Berlin Treaty to share the spoils of Africa.
Apparently also that Bredenkamp in Cameron (1992:28) made a grievous mistake by saying that: The Khoisan immerged from north of Botswana, when originally it was known as Lehurutshe or from Tanzania when originally it was known as Matanganyika that became known as Tanganyika by Cecil John Rhodes or as Van Jaarsveld (1975) claim on their behalf that: They either immerged from Spain or Asia which leaves the Khoisan to prove or disprove the claims made about them without them, when compared with the credible evidence that justifies the Banguni-Bakone-Bangona, as the none-such Autochthones as amply outlined in this Booklet revealing that even the figurines on the Coat of Arms by Ian Bakker, acknowledging the San as the First People was done by default and is unfounded because the San could not kindle fire while the Africans were smiths of note long before any encounter was made with the Europeans.
This view apparently led the modern people to wrongly observe them as different nations whereas they have always been an originally based comprehensively related Nation with the same local dynastical origin since Creation.
It is a nation whose name has been anglicised and variously and often referred to differently as the Ngona or Kone or Nguni people(s). In many instances, the “specialists in Social Sciences” claim that they have gone into extinction as a way of getting away with their assumptions on the understating that as the sole writers of the time, no one amongst the future African elite, will be able to challenge or disprove them in future. The European writers of the time were Government Agents, who when encountering the primitive light skinned people looking after stock, assumed that they are the aborigines’ of the Cape when they were in fact the hired herders of the Banguni they intermarried with and lived harmoniously with but forcibly separated them by keeping the Khoisan in Missionary Stations like Genedendaal and Bethelsdorp where they thought them a Kriol or kitchen language that ultimately became known as Afrikaans by Langenhoven. Van Jaarsveld (1975) and Langenhoven (1973)
The settlers made use of the Khoisan as their spies, interpreters and soldiers to betray their own blood relations as their age-old relatives, the Nguni often referred to as “others” hence they were forcibly removed from the Western Cape which served as their winter grazing Region from time immemorial as attested by the place-names, artefacts, ruins and graves.
The long existence of the Nguni as some of the Xhosa in the Cape(s) Thembu, Ngcika, Ngqaleka, Mpfingo or the Zulus, as some of the Swati, the Ndebele, or the Tsonga-Shangaan or the Kone as some of the Sotho(s) Pedi, Southern Sotho, Tswana ,or the Ngoṋa as some of the Vhavenḓa as some of the (Kal(r)anga/Shona/R(ts)onga, as the none-such Autochthones migrated into South Africa in waves across the Limpopo River as if the writers as the government agents were there to witness the drama of the Africans cross the Vhembe (Limpopo) River and dubbed them migrants whereas they crossed it daily except when in full during January and February only since Creation.
The river was never an impediment ever since Creation. The mutual interrelationship amongst the same people, cannot be gainsaid as supported by their dynastical commonality of their languages, culture and religion found to be in practice long before the arrival of the Europeans.
The foreigners, replaced their place- and personal names, religion and culture and so westernized them in such a way that they even looked down upon their own. Later, some even fought for being associated with pagan belief.
This is where things went wrong. According to the Europeans the Africans had no history until it was written on their behalf whereas the Greeks were civilized in Muno-Africa (Alkebulan) Van Jaarsveld (1975 Diop (1974) and Williams (1974) cheating all the way as if history becomes a narrative when the author has written his story, whereas it is an episode of note taking place daily with or without an influence of anyone.
A mistake occurred when the foreigners failed to fathom and comprehend that the modern language groupings, emanated from the original and authentic name Mungona-Mokone-Mnguni which encapsulate as informed by Indigenous Knowledge Systems, the time in antiquity, before time became time when Man had developed and was capacitated enough, to be able to tame and domesticate the beast (cattle) and the wild through and by which he was emancipated. Giliomee and Mbenga (2005)
The name Ngona-Kone-Nguni share the same origin but Linguists failed to relate it to the name Nguni cattle currently claimed by the South African Whites as the cattle of their own making and ownership even when they did not bring cattle around except the dairy and Afrikander cattle later. Indigenous Knowledge Systems, reveal that the name refers to the tamed beast they obtained milk and meat and other by-products from and as a result, the nation became known by them.
The name of the South African autochthones, is therefore the Nguni cattle and the Nguni people and the San, who were encountered by the first Europeans who set foot for the first time in the country that had already shed its volcanic stones from the mountains through volcanic eruptions and earthquakes and became known by the early episode(s) that devastated the country deep in antiquity as Lukungurubwe that describes the action that took place then where Lu means place, -kungur(l)uwa means tumble down the precipice and -bwe mean stones. That is, the boulders that tumbled down the mountains as still found everywhere at the foot of the mountains and the veld with the modern men wondering whence they come.
The suffix –bwe as itjie, libye, and ribwe, are common amongst the South African language groups revealing their common dynastical origin deep in antiquity.
This booklet is summed up along those lines revealing the relationship that dates back to the local Creation of the original people of South(ern) Africa currently found in the missionary created Language groupings, with a calculated mission to control them individually, separately and collectively in bi- and multilateral focused and misleading meetings with the System benefitting the most at the expense of the majority hence the ever illusive attempt to find solutions by the so many Labour Unions and the captured disunited and disenfranchised Traditional Leadership as some foreign “specialists” misled the System that was remotely controlled to fill their masters coffers with raw materials for their processing abroad.
It is on that basis that this booklet is organised according to the requirements of the Land Claims Act and cannot be expected to be extensive except to point out that some salient points have often been willingly or unwillingly compromised that could disadvantage the autochthones.
This document had to be designed to conscientize the Africans about this singular opportunity to make an holistic Land Claim without fear (IITimothy1:7) on the basis of the available credible evidence outlined herein and the Positive Governing Spirit of the Democratic Government to unreservedly support a reasonable Land Claim of this magnitude by the offspring of the soil then, here, now and always as a sensible sound initiative expected around the world to settle disputes regarding Land Claims based on credible replicable evidence never outlined before.
The Booklet is designed to challenge the land claim based on individual basis and advocates for a wider circulation calling upon unity in addressing a major problem of this magnitude problem together to come up with a credible impartial solution that is based on credible evidence.
The current “farm claim approach” referring to the farms originally not bought, like the “willing seller-willing buyer approach” are both a non-starter because they drain the coffers of the State only to enrich the poor Whites who came into the country, with nothing and survived on the food provided to them by the caring sympathetic Africans who are currently expected to claim individually like one would to the button of coat that has been stolen from them and are expected to give details instead of the thief producing a receipt to prove that indeed s/he bought the farm from the owner or determine whether it is a stolen property or not. Taking into consideration the passage of time and circumstances then, it is obvious that everything was forcibly done as was the case in Hawaiian Kingdom by America as the remaining evidence are also there in museums and many lie strewn throughout the country or are part of family possessions or gluing elements of fora.
If land has been equally allocated to the nations of the world including the small enclaves like Swaziland, Lesotho and Botswana, why should it be different to the South African Blacks when they have been in the country since Creation?
It is not clear why the Government is allowing the claimants to claim land individually like buttons or dots of a spotted coat, jacket or a shirt when in fact it belong to all of them as it is the case with the Protectorates and other African States in Africa which were returned to them by Colonists. The modern rationale to achieve the goal, is not negotiable because it is self-explanatory as credible, valid, reliable, verifiable, justifiable and replicable evidence, will attest. Land Claim should not and cannot be based on a subjective rationale because such is not only subjective but it is unscientific, twisted, biased and unreliable.
The current farm-based Land claim on the ancestral land of the Africans, which belonged to their ancestors as a given by God, as currently supported by Government, is a non-starter because it will enrich the foreigners and drain the coffers of the Government, worse when it is based on the market value when the so-called owner, had it given to him for free with everything subsidised by Government including stipends for farm workers which were grossly cheated and the numbers of employee, shelters and food often grossly inflated even when such were given “tolerance fee” when there was nothing they were tolerating.
The current Land Claim Policy support the Divide and Rule Policy that was applied throughout the country since Western Intervention such that the Africans will be precipitated into further agonising poverty.
Land should just be returned to the authentic Africans because whether they are found living in the Protectorates or in SOWETO, they are all intertwined and interrelated because they all originate from the same original Nguni-Kone-Ngona Nation.
The answer to the Land Question is simple: Return the land back to the AUTOCHTHONES without any strings or surreptitious double standards attached, because there are credible evidence supporting their holistic Land claims.
The modern Man should appreciate what God hath doth equally ordained His Creation with a place of origin throughout the World.
With the above statement as a premise, it purports that in commercially sharing the produce of one’s country, one should respect one’s God-given gift of the soil and its natural Resources to restore the dignity of the Africans as the heirs to promote peace and stability, through mutual co-existence, -respect, responsibility, -love and mutual trust to ensure progress, development and prosperity to take place for the good of everyone living in the country to the benefit of everyone as Social Cohesion to take place for the good of everyone.
The contents of this booklet, is as a sequel of the extensive and intensive research conducted in the field of study which replicates by confirming the Banguni-Bakone-Bangona and the San, as the none-such Autochthones of Lukungurubwe (South(ern) Africa. The research resulted in a successful completion and graduation towards a PhD degree in African Studies conferred to the author on 17 May 2017 by the University of Venda with the prolific internationally renowned writer, Motsoanatsatsi Professor MA Masoga as the promoter and Professor MA Makgopa, as Co-Promoter.
The content of the Booklet reveals the necessity of the Black Africans to holistically reclaim their God-Given Ancestral Land which they occupied since Creation as the picture on the cover-page attest.
