"TRIANGULATION IS MORE THAN DRAMA. IT CAN BECOME A POWERFUL FORM OF SOCIAL MANIPULATION.

Triangulation happens when a person repeatedly brings third parties into a conflict instead of communicating directly—using selective information, competing narratives, alliances, or interpersonal pressure to influence how other people perceive the situation.

In abusive relationships, that dynamic can become especially destructive.

Instead of controlling only the relationship, the person may begin influencing the survivor's relationships with everyone around them.

Friends hear one version.

Family members hear another.

Coworkers may receive carefully selected information.

Private conversations get repeated.

And people who believe they're helping can unknowingly become participants in someone else's conflict.

Sometimes they're called “flying monkeys.”

But they aren't necessarily malicious. They may simply be acting on incomplete or misleading information.

When third parties are deliberately recruited to intimidate, monitor, harass, pressure, or isolate someone, the behavior can become far more serious than ordinary interpersonal conflict.

THE SMEAR CAMPAIGN

One of the most damaging forms of triangulation is an intentional effort to undermine someone's reputation.

The survivor may discover that a story about them has been circulating long before they ever knew they needed to respond.

Then something strange happens.

They finally defend themselves—and their defense becomes additional “evidence” against them.

They're upset, so they're called unstable.

They correct misinformation, so they're called obsessive.

They withdraw, so they're accused of hiding something.

They become angry, so the anger becomes the story.

Meanwhile, everything that happened before the reaction disappears.

That's why context matters.

WATCH THE PATTERN, NOT ONE INCIDENT

A single misunderstanding isn't necessarily triangulation.

A friend becoming distant isn't proof of a coordinated campaign.

Someone disagreeing with you doesn't automatically mean they've been manipulated.

But repeated patterns deserve attention.

Are private conversations consistently reaching people you never told?

Are multiple people repeating unusually similar accusations or phrases?

Is someone repeatedly speaking about you while preventing people from speaking with you?

Are third parties being encouraged to contact, monitor, pressure, threaten, or confront you?

Is misinformation repeatedly being used to damage your relationships, employment, reputation, or access to support?

Those are concrete behaviors that can be documented and evaluated.

ISOLATION CAN CREATE CONTROL

When someone loses trusted relationships, they can become easier to manipulate.

That's what makes social destabilization so damaging.

The survivor may spend enormous amounts of energy trying to correct every rumor, answer every accusation, and convince every person that they've misunderstood what happened.

Eventually, defending yourself becomes a full-time job.

And that's another trap.

You don't have to chase every accusation.

You don't have to convince everyone.

You don't have to participate in endless arguments about your own reality.

DOCUMENT. VERIFY. COMMUNICATE DIRECTLY.

When appropriate and safe, preserve messages and records of concrete incidents.

Communicate directly with people rather than relying on secondhand accounts.

Separate what you know from what you suspect.

Avoid reacting publicly to every allegation.

Correct consequential misinformation calmly when necessary.

And when conduct crosses into threats, stalking, harassment, defamation, workplace misconduct, or other potentially unlawful behavior, consider obtaining professional or legal guidance based on the actual conduct and evidence.

The goal isn't to prove that everyone around you is part of a conspiracy.

The goal is to recognize patterns without allowing fear or confusion to determine your next move.

Triangulation thrives when communication becomes indirect, reality becomes difficult to verify, and everyone is reacting to everyone else's version of events.

Clarity disrupts that dynamic.

Direct communication disrupts it.

Documentation disrupts it.

Boundaries disrupt it.

You don't have to win an invisible war.

You can refuse to participate in one.

And when manipulation depends upon silence, secrecy, and distorted narratives, bringing verifiable facts into the open can change the entire dynamic.

Triangulation is ultimately about influence and control.

Recognizing the pattern is the first step toward stepping outside of it.

We are documenting.

We are speaking clearly.

We are naming concrete behaviors.

And we are refusing to let someone else write our story for us."

Father God, in the name of Jesus Christ, the Judge of all the earth, we come before You clothed in righteousness and seated in our rightful place of authority.
We thank You that You are the God who sees in secret and exposes what has been concealed in darkness.
Nothing hidden escapes Your gaze, and no counterfeit can stand before Your truth.

We decree and declare that every hidden root of envy and jealousy directed toward our lives, our calling, our mantle, our identity, and our destiny is now exposed by the light of God.
Let every smile masking resentment, every compliment laced with competition, and every agreement rooted in ulterior motive be revealed and dismantled by the Spirit of Truth.

By the authority of Jesus Christ, we renounce and reject every attempt of identity theft. Every spirit that has studied our patterns, mimicked our language, mirrored our movements, siphoned our creativity, or attempted to wear our name, our grace, or our assignment is now stripped of access.

Father, release confusion into the camps of those who operate through envy and covert competition.
Let their plans unravel, their alliances fracture, and their strategies fail without explanation.
Let the very traps they set become the evidence of their exposure.

We declare divine distinction over our lives.

If you’re still standing after everything they threw at you, then hear this:

MY TESTIMONY 👑
This is not a story of self pity, but one of immense MIRACULOUS survival - During over 15 Years of non-stop abuse and pure terrorism.

Throughout the entire experience, each and every day, I've seen the HAND OF GOD and the POWER of HIS LIVING WORD, working mightily. All glory goes to the KING OF KINGS for my ongoing survival 👑

1. My BEAUTIFUL Hout Bay home, MAGNIFICENT newly built guesthouse, and my car, were taken from my children and I during the divorce.
2. We moved to a rented cottage in Kalk Bay, and I quickly rebuilt a respectful life, using the creative and entrepreneurial skills God has given me.
3. Within months, and for years, we were swamped with robberies, muggings, house ransacked, courtcases, false accusations, wrongful arrests, police brutality, stalking, harassment, intimidation, public humiliation, MASSIVE smear campaigns, threats, poisoning, physical attacks, endless vandalism of my newly bought small car, hacking of all communication, spiking of drinks, theft of our cars etc etc.
4. The loss of our safety, security, wellbeing and respectful reputations, was the last straw.
5. I was advised by lawyers to leave the area and try and live as normal a life as possible somewhere else. Somewhere far from my adversary.
6. Once again I had to lose EVERYTHING I'd rebuilt and flee.
7. Sadly, the organized stalking and heinous abuse continued relentlessly in Kalk Bay, Franschhoek, Llandudno, Hout Bay, Fishhoek, Tsitsikamma and here.
8. There's sincerely nothing left of my life, yet the Joy of the Lord remains my strength, even now as my car continues to be brutally targeted and vandalized.
9. 15 years of endless stalking, endless theft, endless organized crime, endless vandalism, degradation, deprivation, defamation, destruction, dehumanization, family and social isolation, was meant to bury me. That's the agenda.
10. BUT -
The greatest decision I ever made was to receive JESUS CHRIST as my LORD and SAVIOUR when I was 12 years old. My WHOLE identity is, and always has been, in Him 👑

Everything I have ever loved and built, has been taken from me, yet I feel WHOLE and ABUNDANTLY LOVED ♥ 👑 ♥

Life is not based on our achievements and possessions, but on our relationship and walk with JESUS CHRIST. The Peace of GOD, that surpasses all understanding, is a MAGNIFICENT gift 👑

His unwavering and loving presence, and His POWERFUL Living Word (alive and active), enables us to boldly and VICTORIOUSLY navigate EVERYTHING this world throws at us.

Our relationship with God is ALL that matters! He will NEVER leave nor forsake us 🛡 👑 🛡

This world is not our home. We are just passing through. Make sure your lamps are filled with oil 🙏 👑 🙏
