Banhoek Chilli Oil, The Official Father's Day Chilli Oil. 🌶️

Because the best Father's Day celebrations happen around great food. Whether Dad's the pizza maker, the taste tester, or simply the first one back for seconds, every memorable meal deserves the perfect bite of flavour.

To celebrate, we've teamed up with The Roasted Dad, who created this incredible sourdough focaccia loaded with goat's cheese, labneh, pomegranate, fresh mint and plenty of flavour-packed toppings. But the not-so-secret ingredient? A generous drizzle of Banhoek Chilli Oil to bring it all together.

Good food. Great company. A little extra flavour.

Recipe: 🌶️ Banhoek Chilli Oil Sourdough Focaccia
Serves 6–8

•⁠ ⁠Stretch ready-made sourdough dough into an oiled baking tray and leave to rise until puffy.
•⁠ ⁠Drizzle generously with Banhoek Chilli Oil, confit garlic oil and za'atar, then dimple the dough and press in confit garlic cloves.
•⁠ ⁠Bake until golden, crisp and cooked through.
•⁠ ⁠Top with labneh, goat's cheese, pomegranate, toasted pine nuts, roasted chickpeas and fresh mint.
•⁠ ⁠Finish with lemon zest, extra Banhoek Chilli Oil, za'atar, flaky salt and black pepper.

The result? A flavour-packed sharing dish that's perfect for Father's Day gatherings.

Pasta night just got a serious upgrade 🍝🌶️
Creamy, rich, comforting… and finished with the perfect bite of flavour thanks to Banhoek Chilli Oil. A little drizzle, a whole lot of depth.

Loved seeing .smit bring this dish to life and show just how easy it is to turn simple ingredients into something seriously delicious. 👏

Crafted in the Cape Winelands using locally grown chillies and inspired by the bold flavours of the fynbos-rich Banhoek Valley.
CHILLI OIL PASTA RECIPE:

Ingredients:
250g pasta of your choice
Salt
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons of butter
1 tablespoon crushed garlic
2 tablespoons tomato paste
2.5 tablespoons of Banhoek Chilli Oil
1 cup of cream (250ml)
1/4 cup (60ml) pasta water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Parmesan cheese

Method:
1. Boil the pasta in lightly salted water until cooked and reserve the 1/4cup of pasta water and keep aside.
2. Sauté the crushed garlic in the melted butter and oil.
3. Add the tomato paste and continue sautéing.
4. Add the Banhoek Chilli Oil
5. Pour in the cream and stir well.
6. Continue stirring for 1-2 minutes.
7. Add in the salt, sugar and paprika.
8. Add the 1/4 cup of pasta water, followed by the cooked pasta. Stir well until every piece is well coated and turn off the heat.
9. Serve while hot with grated parmesan cheese.
