🤍 Ornithogalum - quietly stealing the show in the greenhouse.

There’s something so elegant about these - tall stems topped with clusters of crisp white, star-shaped flowers that open gradually from the bottom upwards. ✨

And as you can see… some are only just getting started, while others are already putting on quite the show. 🌿

Beautiful planted in pots or garden beds, and an excellent cut flower with wonderfully long-lasting stems for the vase. 🤍

Our double Narcissus are putting on the prettiest show at Lowensvlei - layers of soft, buttery yellow petals with that gorgeous classic spring fragrance. 💛

And there are still plenty of buds waiting their turn, so the show is only just beginning. 🌱✨

And really… is there anything quite like that first big, beautiful Hydrangea bloom? 💗

Our Hydrangea macrophylla are starting to show off, with gorgeous full flower heads and plenty more blooms still to come. Perfect for adding that lush, romantic cottage-garden feeling to a shady corner of the garden. 🌿

A little reminder - with macrophylla hydrangeas, flower colour can change depending on your soil, so Mother Nature may have a few surprises planned. 😉💙💗

Meet Peter, the unofficial welcoming committee at Lowensvlei. If you’re lucky, he’ll be waiting at the gate to greet you with a little extra colour and a whole lot of personality.
