𝙋𝙉𝘼 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝘾𝙧𝙚𝙬 𝙈𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙚𝙧 𝙍𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙡 𝙎𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙩 shows how a shader brush helps you use two colours in a single brushstroke to create beautiful light and dark detail in your leaves.

1️⃣ Use a shader brush with its distinctive angled tip
2️⃣ Load the toe of the brush with white and the heel with green, purple or another colour
3️⃣ Work the paint properly into the bristles of the brush. According to Ronel, this is the big secret
4️⃣ First make your “train track” to work the paint evenly through the brush
5️⃣ Place the brush down, gently spread the bristles and wiggle the brush from side to side
6️⃣ Lift and pull the brushstroke into a point to complete your leaf shape
7️⃣ Experiment with different colour combinations. Ronel especially loves adding a little purple to her leaves 💜
8️⃣ Practise the basic brushstroke again and again until the movement starts to feel natural
