Mocana is a South African Yoga brand creating environmentally responsible high-performance yoga mats Mocana is a Sanskrit word meaning to release, to set free.

We believe in the power that yoga can bring into our daily lives — that it has the ability to change the way we interact with ourselves, with each other, and with our world. It allows us the space to let go, to observe, to challenge our bodies and minds and in turn, to be free. Mocana was founded on the simple idea that a better yoga mat could make a world of difference in our practices. What bega

n as one simple idea, has evolved into an array of naturally designed, environmentally conscious, superior quality yoga mats and products. Our story began in South Africa where Johan and Wouter first began Mocana Yoga. Arriving onto their mats for their daily practices also meant slipping and sliding, losing focus and falling away from their breath and bodies. They began to search for a mat that would allow them the foundation to grow and let go. This is when Johan and Wouter decided to create Mocana Yoga.
