One thing life and experience have taught me:

If you can’t do something properly, leave it to the person who can.

Don’t touch what you are not qualified or experienced to touch.

Leave specialised work to professionals. If you take on a task, make sure you have the knowledge, experience and skills to do it properly.

Don’t tell a customer you can do something when you can’t. It only leads to multiple repairs, wasted time, unnecessary costs and, ultimately, embarrassing situations.

If you fix a problem, fix it properly the first time.

Respect your customer’s time and money.

Ask for experience. Ask for qualifications. Ask for certification.

There is nothing wrong with saying, “I don’t know, but I know someone who does.”

That is professionalism.

Over the years, my career has been built on continuously learning and mastering new technologies.

In my 20s, I started installing intercom and radio tower systems in hospitals, where I was introduced to mechanical and electronic systems while working for a German company. This foundation led me into plumbing and electrical systems, followed by networking and telecommunications in my 30s.

As my experience grew, I expanded into air conditioning, CCTV, fire detection, and access control systems. Every step added valuable knowledge that prepared me for the next challenge.

In 2010, I joined the world of Sumetzberger pneumatic tube transportation systems—a field where I found my true passion. Since then, I have proudly installed, commissioned, maintained, and supported these systems across Africa, helping hospitals and other industries improve efficiency through reliable automation.

A career is built one skill at a time, and I am grateful for every opportunity that has shaped my journey.
