There was a noticeable difference in temperature in the KZN Midlands this week, and the usual orchestra of brushcutters and lawn-mower drones is gradually being replaced by leaf blowers.

Wading season is fast approaching, and we know that around this time of year, anglers start to unpack their gear from the garage to prep for stillwater trout and winter wading season.

One of the first things you do is fill your waders with water to find leaks and patch them. Some have more patch jobs than little Johny's BMX tyres or the air mattress from last year's camping trip.

At some point, you are going to have to replace those old leaky waders, and before you buy the same pair that you know will only last a season or two, or if you are used to investing in high-end waders, but the time has come to retire the old faithfulls, watch this before you buy.
