A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made the HELD CAPTIVE exhibition in Baardskeerdersbos such a special event.

Itโ€™s wonderful to hear that the exhibition was well supported and that so many meaningful conversations took place around wildlife, conservation, and the role of art in telling these important stories.

Iโ€™m incredibly grateful to the Blood Lions team for including Ximumu Designs, and to the Baardskeerdersbos Art Route community for the warm welcome and support. It means a lot to have my work alongside such powerful conservation storytelling.

Thanks to everyone who visited and supported the exhibition, R342 will be donated to the Scales Pangolin Rescue Fund from Ximumu sales ๐Ÿพ

Even more exciting - the Bbos Art Gallery & cafรฉ will be keeping the remaining Ximumu pieces available for visitors to browse and purchase.

Grateful for conservation, community, and the power of art in bringing people together ๐Ÿ’š

The HELD CAPTIVE exhibition is open in Baardskeerdersbos this weekend, and itโ€™s looking beautiful.

Steph shared this walk-through of the space โ€” powerful wildlife photography from the Blood Lions team, thoughtful artworks from local artists, and a welcoming creative atmosphere at the Community Centre as part of the Baardskeerdersbos Art Route.

If youโ€™re in the Overberg area today or tomorrow, itโ€™s well worth stopping in to experience the exhibition, meet the team, and spend some time with the stories behind the images.

A small selection of Ximumu Designs pieces is also available at the venue in support of conservation-led work, with 10% of all sales going to the Scales Pangolin Rescue Fund ๐Ÿพ

At the end of March, the Baardskeerdersbos Art Route will host the HELD CAPTIVE photographic exhibition by the Blood Lions team.

Through powerful wildlife photography, the exhibition shares stories that invite conversation about the future of South Africaโ€™s predators and the importance of protecting animals in the wild.

Visitors can explore the exhibition, meet members of the team, and enjoy the creative community that makes the Baardskeerdersbos Art Route so special.

A small selection of Ximumu Designs pieces will also be available at the Community Centre during the event.

In this month of love, Ximumu is tending to what already exists.

Honouring the designs that have been created, supporting conservation where we can, and growing steadily, not loudly. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’š

These Ximumu pieces are all packed up and heading to the Western Cape ๐Ÿ’š

From 27โ€“29 March, theyโ€™ll be at the Art Route market in Baardskeerdesbos, alongside the powerful Held Captive photographic exhibition by Blood Lions South Africa โ€” shedding light on the exploitation of captive predators and advocating for the closure of this brutal industry.

Steph and Louise will be there sharing the exhibition and the conversation, and Iโ€™m grateful to have Ximumu included in support of conservation-led work.

As always, 10% of all Ximumu sales go to the Scales Pangolin Rescue Fund ๐Ÿพ

If youโ€™re in the area, itโ€™s well worth a visit!

Before everything went digital, there was pen, paper, and a lot of quiet focus...

Looking back reminds me that Ximumu has always been rooted in my love for wild places and the lives they hold. My designs are all about slowing down, having patience, and trusting the details. ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ’š
