FLY JAM 2026 in Paarl

Join us on 4 July for Fly Jam at Stream and Sea Paarl, where some of South Africa's most talented fly tiers will be sharing their skills, patterns, techniques, and passion for the craft. Whether you're a seasoned tier looking to refine your skills or a newcomer wanting to learn from the best, Fly Jam is the place to be.

More than just a tying event, Fly Jam is an opportunity to connect with fellow anglers, swap stories, learn something new, and spend time with people who share your love for fly fishing.

A day dedicated to fly tying, fly fishing, conservation, and the people who make this community so special.

The new Vision Fly Fishing Hero 2 range has arrived (online and in store).

The previous range was one of the most successful fly rods we’ve ever had in the shop, and it looks like this new one is going to be just as popular.

What changed? The rod blanks have been redesigned completely and now feature an unsanded carbon finish, the “Hero” yellow is only used on a small section above the grip, and a bunch of new lengths and weights have been added.

Here are the models we currently have in stock:
- 9ft 3inch 3wt: If you’re looking for a do it all small stream rod that excels at short to medium distances as a casting rod, you do a lot of dry fly and small streamer fishing, this is your rod.
- 10ft 6inch 3wt: Ideal trout and smaller stream nymphing rod, does have enough backbone if you want to fish for yellows, especially when using light leaders and tippets and light flies
- 10ft 6inch 4wt: Versatile nymphing rod leaning more towards the bigger stuff.
- 10ft 6inch 5wt: If you’re fishing the Vaal and Orange rivers only and are looking for a rod with a lot of backbone - this is your boy.
- 10ft 6wt: Stillwater specific rod that still protects 4X tippet. Very versatile stillwater rod
- 10ft 7wt: If you’re looking for a stillwater canon of note that will launch your 40+ to the end of the lake, this the rod for you.
